Vineyard of Intimacy
Let’s talk about love and marriage. The meaning of love is found in the Word of God in 1Cor. 13:4-8. It never fails. As a married couple for 28 years, having been together for 30, we know a thing or two about this scripture. We have to be honest about not always living up to this beautiful description and proclamation the Lord has given us. Let’s keep it real, so much of this scripture we fail at miserably. Marriage is the coming together as husband and wife as God intends, and continually working on yourself in the truth of who you really are and sharing your whole self with your spouse. Most people get married because they are in love, but it takes 1 Cor. 4-8 to make it last forever. We are not telling anyone this is or was an easy journey, but we have to hold onto the word of God, we mean literally (as though you are on your knees with your arms wrapped around the Lord not letting go). We truly love each other, but if it hadn’t been for Jesus there were many times would not have made it through…. A lot of married couples come together with unrealistic expectations of what marriage is, that’s why being honest with each other and honest with the Lord is very important. Contrary to what many believe, the Lord already knows everything there is t know about us, and I do mean everything.
