Who We Are

Praise and Glory to The Lord God Almighty and our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  It is truly a wonderful thing to be able to worship the Creator.  Being given the privilege by our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ to Worship God In Spirit and in Truth is awesome!

How do we neglect such a privilege?  As David said, "Where can I go from your Spirit?  Where can I flee from your presence?  If I go up to the heavens, you are there; if I make my bed in the depths, you are there.  If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea, even there your hand will guide me, your right hand will hold me fast." (Psalms 139:7-10 NIV).

Hallelujah and Amen!  That's who we are at Fellowship In The Word.  We believe that their is nothing more precious or important than "our" - (fellow believers) - "relationship" with God by and through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

What We're About

Growing together in Faith and Knowledge with our brothers and sisters in Christ; so that, we may increase and enhance our relationship with God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.  As believers, we are all seeking to grow in our faith and understand the Word, Work and Plan of God for our lives.  Such growth only comes through and by practical wisdom of God's Word.  "Faith cometh by hearing, and hearing comes from the Word of God." (Rom. 10:17).

However, the hearing referenced in this scripture is not simply or just hearing, it's ἀκούω akouō; which means to give audience, give attention to and consider or ἀκοή akoē; meaning having a sense of the thing heard.  In many instances, people don’t hear because they don’t understand, it’s not plain to them this leaves them without any use of practical application of the Word.

Here at Fellowship In The Word, we want all of us to get the “real” practical application of God’s word for our lives, not just hearing a sermon for hearing a sermon’s sake. No, let’s be real and get real about the truth of God’s word for our lives.

Join Us and let’s fellowship together!

We began Fellowship In The Word because of the lack of true Bible Doctrine that is being preached and taught these days in the traditional Church. Not to say there is no one preaching and teaching sound doctrine, as we know there are many Churches that live on sound doctrine.  We believe that one of the best places for your Church may be your home.  After all, homes are where the first Churches began meeting for worship, fellowship, teaching and ministry.  These Churches were powerful and changed the world.  In the home is where your first ministry begins and you must begin that ministry with sound doctrine.

Our goal is to help build Godly relationships with the Heavenly Father and His Son Jesus Christ and to have fellowship with us here at Fellowship In The Word Church.  We are a Home Church with online presence reaching out to anyone who wants fellowship and wants sound doctrine, line upon line, precept upon precept, to be used in their daily life with practical application of God's Word.

Today over 112 million Christians worldwide do not attend a tradition Church.  Every year it's estimated that 1 million Christians leave the institutional Church in the United States.  Presently, the number of adult Christians meeting outside the traditional Church setting is over 11 million.  This number is growing every day.

Sometimes traditional Church can get a little bogged down with worrying about the building, salaries, maintenance, complicated organizations and loose sight of the purpose of Church, and that is to fellowship, worship and be edified with sound doctrine for the equipping of the saints for ministry and spiritual growth.  WE ARE! YOU CAN TOO!

"Not that we would have dominion over your faith, but rather are helpers of your joy, for by your own faith you stand" (2 Cor. 1:24)

We Believe...

The Holy Bible is the inspired Word of God, and that God reveals Himself in and through the Holy Scriptures.  Every Word of Scripture was God inspired and had no origination in the will of any man, but men of God spoke and wrote as they were inspired by God. (2 Pet. 1:21) As David said on his death bed, 2 Sam. 23:2 "The Spirit of the Lord Spake by me, and his word was in my tongue."   The Holy Bible only is the final authority, "profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction for instruction in righteousness:" (2 Tim. 3:16)  Our saying hear at Fellowship in The Word, "Let God be true and every man a liar." (Rom. 3:4)

Jesus is fully God and fully man.  He was conceived by the Holy Spirit born of a virgin woman and lived a sinless life in obedience to the Father.  He ransomed Himself as the sacrificial Lamb of God to pay the price for the penalty of sin which is death (Biblical "death" always means separation, and in this case it is separation from God) in order to redeem man back unto God.

Is a "gift" from God.  It is entirely a work of God's Grace and cannot be earned or deserved.  It is offered freely to all who believe that Jesus died for their sins.  God in His love forgives all that believe and calls upon the name of Jesus, believing in their heart and confession with their mouth that Jesus died for their sins and on the third day after He died, He rose from the dead, ascended into heaven where He is exalted as Lord of all and intercedes for His people in the presence of the Father.  All who believe in Christ are justified by faith alone, adopted into the family of God and receive eternal life.

Is God, precedes from the Father and the Son.  He has been from heaven to glorify Christ and the Father and to apply His work of salvation.  He convicts sinners, imparts spiritual life.  He gives true understanding of the Scriptures.  He indwells believer, brings assurance of salvation and produces ever growing faith in us.  He empowers us for worship, service and mission.

Our God is but One God, but manifested in three Persons - the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.  [Click here to go to Bible Study on Trinity (Godhead] God is tri-personal, involving the distinction between the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. These three persons are joint partakers of exactly the same nature and majesty – GOD. In other words, the Father is not the Son, the Son is not the Holy Spirit, and the Holy Spirit is not the father or the son. They are distinct persons of the same essences (hypostasis). The Word gives good examples of this. The Father sent the Son into the world (John 3:16). Likewise, the Son returned to the Father (John 16:10). The Father and the Son sent the Holy Spirit in the World (John 14:26, Acts 2:33). Mark 1:10-11 we see the Son being baptized, we see the Father speaking form Heaven and the Holy Spirit descending from heaven in the form of a dove.

Church κκλησα ekklēsia; a calling out, i.e., to an of called out ones to salvation. I am the Church, You are the Church, We are the Church together. Church is a universal body of which Christ is the head and to which all wo are saved belong. Church is not not tessellated pavement (meaning: to form of small squares or blocks, as floors or pavements); we can worship God without it. Christ does not want or need tessellated pavement for Church worship. He wants and needs us. When we come together about our souls' affairs; our present peace, and our everlasting salvation, these are the matters which connects us as a Church. All the other things are temporary and trivial in the sight of God. So, whenever we are gathered together, two or more, we are to expect the presence of Jesus – Church! (Matt. 18:19). In no way are we denouncing, disapproving or discouraging anyone from the gather with local body of believers at traditional Church attendance for worship because He tells us, “forsake not the assembly of saints.” However, we just want our fellow brothers and sisters to have the true meaning and understanding of Church - The Church is us!

Bruce and Stephanie Hadley have been married for almost 30 years.   Bruce and Stephanie’s marriage itself is a testimony of God in their lives. They meet in 1983 and dated for almost a year. At the time, neither of them were saved and did not know the Lord.   Five years later, Bruce who had been saved for almost three years, was returning home from a Wednesday night Bible Study when he heard the Lord speak to him audibly, commanding him to call Stephanie. Bruce contacted Stephanie that night and learned that Stephanie had recently accepted the Lord as her personal Lord and Savior.   Bruce and Stephanie have remained together for the past 32 years and have three adult children.

Bruce and Stephanie have walked with the Lord for over 33 years. They have hosted small group Bible Studies and Home Church services for more than 25 years.
